Run your first 5K with The Red Devils on June 8, 2014 by training with our experienced, caring, and motivating coaches for 10 weeks. This is training with a purpose. While you are training each week to transform your like, you will be raising money to improve the quality of life for breast cancer families living Maryland.
When you follow our interval running program, you’ll progressively increase the time you run until you are running the 5K distance. If you’ve never been a runner and would like to give it a try or if you ran in the past and need a tune up, we are the perfect answer. Let us introduce you to our 30 SECONDS TO RUN program designed to get you fit to finish.
You’ll begin by “interval running.” Run for 30 seconds, then walk for one minute. You will repeat that pattern for 15 to 20 minutes. Over the course of the 10-week training, you will progressively increase the duration of your interval run until you’re able to sustain running for 5K (3.1 miles). Each week you’ll receive a Training Calendar detailing day-to-day activities to keep you on pace.
Your $10.00 registration fee for TRAINING WITH THE DEVILS includes a complimentary registration for RUNNING WITH THE DEVILS, a $25.00 savings. Your TRAINING registration also commits you to raising $400.00, enough to fund support services for a year for one breast cancer families. Your fundraising deadline is June 30, 2014. When you use the tools and tips we give you it will be easy getting people to join you in supporting our great cause.
