Angel Keener and Anngelina Cucinotta are fast becoming The Red Devils Queens of Soles, rallying behind our Sole4Souls shoe drive campaign, taking place now through October 2020, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Red Devils earns funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new collected shoes. Our partner, Funds2Orgs issues us a check for the shoes we collect. You can help by donating shoes at any of the designated shoe collection sites throughout Maryland listed here. If you know of a business that would be a good drop-off site, please let us know.
Angel Keener of Sparrows Point has been dropping off shoes every week at The She Shed. She enjoys helping others and involves herself in many community efforts, including a hat, scarf and glove drive for the homeless, adopting a family for Christmas, and various church and local school fundraisers. Her son’s girlfriend, Morgan, also participates in efforts. Angel never expects any credit—she simply enjoys seeing people happy.
Anngelina Cucinotta, and her mom Cris, are responsible for collecting hundreds of pairs of shoes already, and are regular visitors to The Red Devils office in Towson. In addition to collecting shoes, Anngelina helps Our Daily Bread by making casseroles and delivering them to people in need of food and other resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We’re honored to have those wonderful women as Devils Advocates, and applaud their generosity and willingness to help complete strangers in times of need.
Our goal is to collect at least 200 bags of 25 pairs of shoes each, from work boots to flip flops, and everything in between—men’s, women’s and children’s shoes. We currently have close to 50 bags in storage and awaiting pick up in November at EBI in Owings Mills. EBI has graciously granted us their second floor for storage space.
