Red Devils march in Baltimore
St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Baltimore, Maryland - March 13, 2005

The Red Devils, a Maryland organization that supports Maryland families living with breast cancer, participated in the parade with volunteers dressed as devils and a classic convertible decorated as a devilmobile.

The “devilmobile” was a last minute stand in for the Red Devils art car, which was in the shop. At other parades, the art car represents the Red Devils. Created by Baltimore artists Tricia Kennedy and Pat Cruz, the art car is a painted and decorated street-legal work of art complete with devil horns.

“The parade was a great opportunity to publicize our organization, and to show that we have a fun and creative approach to fundraising at our charity walks and other events. The families we support appreciate our non-traditional attitude.” said Henry Mitchell, a volunteer for the Red Devils.

The Red Devils will hold the third annual “Heart and Sole Stroll” Sunday, July 31, 2005, at Centennial Lake in Columbia, Maryland.

The Red Devils is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides support services to families in Maryland living with breast cancer. Recipients are selected through the organization’s relationships with hospitals in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Howard County. The Red Devils takes its name from the bright red chemotherapy drug Adriamycin, known to breast cancer patients as “the red devil.”
